Understanding Flow Types

Not all connections are the same. Floo Map supports distinct flow types to accurately model your value stream.

Sequence Flow

The default solid line representing the order of operations.

Message Flow

Dashed lines representing communication between different pools or lanes (e.g., Customer emailing Support).

Association

Dotted lines linking artifacts (data, documents) to flow objects.

Correctly using flow types helps the AI engine analyze your map more effectively.
